Rajasthan man arrested for spreading hatred, disrupting communal harmony online

A man has been arrested for disrupting communal harmony and spreading hatred on a social media platform, police said.
The man, identified as Wajid Khan, is a resident of Gagwana in Rajasthan. He claimed to be a journalist working for a foreign media channel.
Rural Circle Officer Ramchandra Chaudhary stated that the police had received information via social media about Khan, who was repeatedly posting inflammatory comments intended to disturb communal harmony and incite hatred. After verifying the allegations, the police found them to be true and took him into custody.
Khan’s mobile phone has been confiscated, and an investigation is underway to uncover the nature of the posts he shared, which reportedly went viral and disturbed communal peace.
The police are also monitoring individuals who attempt to disrupt communal harmony on social media and worsen societal tensions. Additionally, they are identifying those who engage with or follow such criminal elements online.
